General information: The 130 trade unions affiliated to EMCEF organise all together 2,5 million workers from 35 different countries. Most of these members are working within multinational companies, in which their interests are represented at European level in a European Works Council (EWC). To improve the link between the activities of these EWCs and the trade unions affiliated to EMCEF, coordinators have been appointed for each EWC. The EMCEF statutory EWC committee has worked out a project to bring together the EMCEF EWC coordinators in three different seminars, to exchange experiences, improve cooperation and agree on common approaches towards EWCs.
